Model PBS: Fabricated Steel Pressure Blower

Cincinnati Fan manufactures seven models of the Model PBS Fabricated Steel Pressure Blower. All models are welded 10-gauge steel housings and wheels. Multiple steel alloys are available as well as cast aluminum wheels.

Four models are available with multiple inlet sizes for a wide range of performance. All sizes are available in both direct and belt drive.

This fan is available in AMCA A, B, or C spark resistant construction.

PERFORMANCE RANGE:

• Capacities up to 4,462 CFM and 20″ SPWG
• Standard construction, air stream temperatures to 150°F (66°C)
• Optional high-temperature construction up to 750°F (398°C)

FOR HIGHER CAPACITIES:

CFM: See Model RBE
Pressures: See Model HP-I or Model HP-II

Features

  • The Model PBS, 10-gauge, fabricated steel housing is more heavy-duty than most fabricated steel blower housings in this size range.
  • Standard models have fabricated steel wheels. By adding a cast aluminum wheel and aluminum shaft collar, they are all AMCA Type B spark resistant. (For AMCA Type A spark resistance, see Model PB Cast Aluminum Pressure Blowers).
  • All models are available with multiple wheel sizes and four models are available with multiple inlet sizes. This provides eighty lines of compact, cost-efficient, direct drive performance ratings.
  • Blower housings, wheels, and bases are detergent-washed, phosphatized, and painted with oven-cured gray enamel.
  • Arrangement 8 units come standard with shaft/coupling guards.
  • Arrangement 9 units come standard with belt guards.
  • All models and arrangements are also available in stainless steel.

Benefits

  • More Rugged Construction: The 10-gauge steel housings and wheels are more heavy-duty than most blowers in this size range. All blower housings are continuously welded, not stitch welded or lock seamed. Will take more wear in abrasive material handling applications.
  • Flexibility: With multiple wheel and inlet sizes available, it is easier to select a more compact, less expensive, direct-driven model to achieve the performance desired. No need to use a larger, heavier, more expensive belt-driven arrangement that also requires more maintenance.
  • Adjustability: All housings can rotate in 90-degree increments. Arrangements 1, 8, and 9 can rotate in 45-degree increments. Provides more flexibility for field conversions.
  • Spark Resistant: With the addition of an optional cast aluminum wheel and aluminum ring for the motor or fan shaft, the Model PBS Blowers are AMCA Type B spark resistant. Less expensive than the competition.
  • Chemical Resistant: All housing and wheels, except BC-type wheels, are also available in stainless steel for applications where mild steel is not suitable for the application. Great for “wash down” requirements. Ideal for the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
